Esie O’Mahony – Golf Development Manager

Esie hails from Killaloe in Co. Clare, Has played Golf from a young age and currently plays to a handicap of 9. He holds a HND Hns Distinction in Golf Course Management from Harper Adams University / Reaseheath College 1995-1998.  Esie Joined Sol Golf in March 2002 as Contracts Manager. Previously having run many large projects throughout Ireland and the UK. Between 2002 and 2010 Esie completed many of the country’s new prestigious  courses. Since Early 2010 Esie has been based in Scotland to oversee the construction and Grow in of the new Martin Hawtree designed Donald Trump course in Aberdeen.

 

 

Olliver Sutton- Project Manager

Olliver began working in his family owned Civil Engineering and Plant Hire company. He started in golf construction in the late eighties, working on a Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer course.  He learned the techniques of lead and finish shaping from a top American shaper. He has shaped and managed a number of projects all over the world for a number of different architects and was appointed as the lead and finish shaper for a further two Arnold Palmer courses.  Olliver joined SOL GOLF in 2004 as a manager, lead and finish shaper and was privileged to be responsible for the Sir Nick Faldo project and for the four Open Venue projects with the Royal and Ancient.  Since joining SOL GOLF he has been awarded very prestigious projects and looks forward to more of the same in the future.

 

 

Paul Kelly – Project Manager

Paul started his career as a greenkeeper for seven years and holds qualifications in amenity horticulture. He started working with Sol Golf in July 2003 as a labourer and has progressed to finishing foreman, site manager and now project manager. He believes Sol Golf has grown from a national to an international company through diligent hard work of its staff and attention to detail while working in a sometimes difficult environments. With Sol Golf, he has had the opportunity to work with some of the worlds leading golf course architects on some outstanding sites and golf clubs. He welcomes the variation in work, from parkland to links, as well as the opportunity to travel and work in other countries and climates.
